Seals in hydraulic systems are powerful, but they need to be formulated to match all the requirements.
Here are some of the media with excellent resistance to seal materials and their characteristics:
1, PTFE: This material has acid and alkali resistance, anti-organic solvent characteristics, almost insoluble in all solvents. Airtight, high lubrication is not sticky, electrical insulation and good anti-aging ability, excellent temperature (in the +250 ℃ to -180 ℃ temperature long-term work). Teflon itself is not toxic to humans.
2, Polyurethane rubber: polyester (or polyether) and diisocyanate compounds from polymerization. High hardness, good strength, high elasticity, high abrasion resistance, tear resistance, aging resistance, ozone resistance, radiation resistance and good electrical conductivity, etc., it is incomparable with generally rubber.
3, Nitrile rubber: excellent oil resistance, high wear resistance, good heat resistance, strong adhesion. The performance of nitrile rubber is affected by the content of acrylonitrile. With the increase of acrylonitrile content, the tensile strength, heat resistance, oil resistance, air tightness and hardness increase but the elasticity and cold resistance decrease. Nitrile rubber ozone resistance and poor electrical insulation properties. Water resistance is better.
4, EPDM rubber: resistance to oxidation, anti-ozone and anti-erosion ability. It can absorb a large amount of filler and oil without affecting the characteristics. Therefore, it is possible to produce a rubber compound that is inexpensive.
5, Silicone rubber: Silicone rubber according to its vulcanization properties can be divided into two types of heat-curing silicone rubber and RTV silicone rubber. By performance and purpose can be divided into general-purpose, ultra-low temperature type, ultra-high temperature type, high strength type, oil type, medical type and so on. Tasteless and non-toxic, not afraid of high temperature and resist the cold, as well as good electrical insulation, oxygen and anti-aging, light and anti-aging and mildew resistance, chemical stability.
6, Viton: good stability, high temperature resistance, aging resistance, vacuum performance, mechanical properties, electrical properties, permeability, low temperature performance.
